Power Of Submission

Submission is one of the most misunderstood words in English.

Submission is often perceived as opposite of domination. Submission for most of the people simply means surrender to somebody's authority, where one looses even ones identity.

We are NOT talking of that kind of submission.

Let me explain with an example. You are listening to a concert. But more than listening you are involved with yourself. Will you be able to enjoy the music? Obviously not!

So what you do, you loose yourself in the music. You let yourself flow with the notes. You go where the musician wants to take you take, high and low, high and low. You are in complete receptive mood. In other words you submit to the musician in order to fully appreciate his music. This is the kind of submission we are talking about.

In order to be truly successful in life you must master the art of submission. The lessons in submission begin when we are very young. As children we submit to our parent and teachers. But as we grow up, our ego becomes more important. It is only ourselves, our ideas, our point of view that become all important and we never really give ourselves the opportunity to discover the true power of submission.

In our daily life we willingly or unwillingly submit to a number of people such as our bosses (who at times knows less than us), bullies, dominant figure at home, law of the land and people enforcing it, etc.

Here we are telling you that how the power of submission can be unleashed to make you successful in life.

This is how the Power of submission helps you:

Submission helps you to develop faith:

The first and the most important form of submission is submission to the Higher Consciousness commonly known as God. In order to develop faith in self, we first need to have faith in the Higher Consciousness. (Refer to Power of Faith). Faith is important to protect our dreams of success from the negative influence that life and this world might have. Once we accept the authority of God, or go into submission to Higher Consciousness all doubts simply vanishes as our faith become stronger and we feel safe in the care of the Almighty.

Submission helps you to remain teachable

Teachable is a person who can be taught, or who is willing to learn. This universe is full of untold wisdom. Successful people draw from this vast expense of wisdom. However, it is not possible for a single person to have all of it. If you want to grow in you life you need to keep on learning from people who are more knowledgeable than you in certain areas. They are people who can hold your hand and take you on the path of higher level of understanding. You may be lucky enough to find mentors who will personally coach you, or you may find mentorship in books or maybe in a website like this one. These mentors may at times be younger to you, may be less educated to you, but have for some reason got a richer experience in the particular area.

However, you can not learn from them unless you are ready to forget your ego and go into submission to them, irrespective of their age, sex, bearing or education. You will observe that successful people are usually very learned and have knowledge encompassing various things because they submit to a number of other people who are ready to share their expertise or wisdom with them. Then they utilize this knowledge to harness greater powers to achieve and accomplish more.

Submission makes you a better leader

Successful people are leaders and leaders have followers. As a leader you will need to submit to your followers. Strange, but true!

Jesus was one of the greatest leaders gifted to mankind, so was Prophet Mohammad, Gautam Buddha Guru Nanak. Their greatness lied not only in their submission to God, but the submission to their followers. They always thought of the people before themselves. They had submitted themselves to the needs of the people of this earth. That is why they scaled such heights of greatness, that today we revere them.

So, if you want to be leader, you need to submit to the people for whom you are responsible. Submit to there needs, their happiness, forgetting your own ego and in turn they will put you on pedestal. Please remember submission to people whom you can help and rendering them service is another form of submission to the higher consciousness and one of the main purposes we have been put on this earth.

Submission helps you to discharge your family responsibilities in a better way
A successful person is successful in every sphere of life. If you amass great wealth, and reverence of people, but your family life is in shambles, you are not truly successful.

If you want to be a better spouse and keep your wife or husband (whatever be the case) happier, submit to them. If you wish to be a better parent submit to your children. If you want to be a better friend submit to your friends.

This does not mean that you will allow the other person to dominate you. (I hope you remember we are not talking of submission that is opposite to domination.) It simply means that you feel responsible for them and render them service from the role that has been assigned to you in the same way you will provide service to God. And true service is not possible without the feeling of submission. Husband loves is wife and the wife her husband. They together love their children. And love itself is highest form of submission as love believes in giving without expecting anything in return.

Submission makes you powerful

Submission is not a sign of weakness but a sign of strength. A person who knows the true power of submission and practices it automatically assumes a position of power. A leader is powerful because he has submitted to another leader (or at the highest God). People will not follow you but your vision, your dream. And submitting to ones dreams is another way of submitting to God or Higher Consciousness as that is the one who has planted the dream in our mind.

A lover has power over other; a husband has power on wife, and wife on husband; Parents have power over children and children over their parents because they are all submitted to each other in love.

Finally a word of caution about submission

Submission is a powerful tool. But be careful when you are submitting as to whom you are doing it. Avoid submitting to unscrupulous people, or those who wants to take advantage of you. They may bring harm to you. So, when submitting follow your heart. Choose your mentors and teachers wisely. Submit to following for success:

- God
- Mentors and true teachers who are willing to teach without selfish motive
- Your family, (they deserves it.)
- Your welwisher who do not want any thing in return
- People who are dependent on you (they are the people you serve).

God bless you!!

Focussing And Acting On Your Dream

Hi All,

Whatever dream you decide to go after, whether it is a family or a career goal, you must consciously decide that it is your life's mission. Benjamin Disraeli said, "The secret of success is constancy to purpose." You must go at it obsessively and set high standards for yourself along the way. There is no room for compromise when you are charting a course for your life or your career.

I spoke to a group of sharp young people not long ago, and when I finished, some of the fellows came up to me and said they were interested in becoming professional speakers. They invited me to go out with them that evening to have a good time. These fellows looked as though they knew how to have a seriously good time. I had planned to work on my delivery that night by listening to the audio of my speech. (I record my speeches and listen to them later so I can study what works and what does not work with a particular audience. In effect, I listen to the audience listening to me.)

I was tempted to go with these fellows, and back when I was their age, I probably would have given in to that temptation and gone. But I have become more disciplined and more committed to my craft. A friend of mine, wrote a humor book called Welcome to the Real World, and in it, he offered advice to fresh high-school and college graduates. He had a line in the book that pertains to the situation I faced that night. It said, "Having a drink with the boys after work every night is a bad idea. Notice that the boss doesn't do it. That is why he is the boss and they
are still the boys."

He told me that he wrote that line with one particular group of hard-partying young businessmen in mind, and five years after the book came out, he ran into one of them. The guy volunteered that he'd read that line in that book and decided never to go drinking after work again. It paid off, he said. He had risen to a vice presidency at a savings and loan firm.

In my drive to become a public speaker, I developed that kind of focus, too. There is not a lot of time for hard partying if you are pursuing greatness. It was not that these young fellows were not serious about their interest in professional speaking, but that they were just as serious about having a good time. I don't believe they were focused on their goals. They were seeking a profession, but they were not on a mission to make a dramatic difference in the world. I am. You should be, too.

Rather than the party crowd, I prefer to seek out people with knowledge that might be useful. I like to find out what books successful and intelligent people are reading. I want access to the information that contributes to their success and intelligence.

Dream Torture By Dennis Waitley

Hi All,

I think this post would be my one of the good topic, that i have discussed about in the past. Very Recently i read a passage in the above said topic written by Dennis Waitley. It was worth spending time on reading it and it is worth in repblishing the passage here in my blog for you people,,,

Perhaps the greatest torture that could be devised would be for us to be forced, in our later years, to watch a continuously repeating movie of the lives we could have led, had we dared to believe in and pursue the dreams and goals that were available and attainable in our lifetime.

DON'T BE A SPECTATOR

While we all say we don't have enough time to do justice to our goals and dreams, each of us has all the time there is. None of us really has a time-management problem. We really have a dream- and goal-focus problem. We spend too much energy worrying about the things we want to do but can't, instead of concentrating on doing the things we can do but don't. It is the regret for something we did or didn't do yesterday and the apprehension of what we can't do tomorrow that are the biggest energy drains on our lives.

A dream is your creative vision for your life in the future. It is what you would like your life to become. A goal is what, specifically, you intend to make happen. However, many individuals become spectators, resigned to experience success vicariously through others' accomplishments. They can see success for others, but they can't imagine it for themselves. Dreams and goals are previews of coming attractions in your life. You can be the script writer, the star and the producer of an Oscar-winning epic life or an extra in a "B" movie that someone else wrote
and directed for you. Which is it to be?

STAY FOCUSED ON YOU

Make certain that your goals are not measured in comparison with others'. Avoid the tendency to measure your own progress by looking over the fence at greener pastures. There are many others who have started a little earlier than you, and you may become discouraged if you see them harvesting success when some of your seeds are barely in the ground. Comparison rarely benefits anyone. You'll always be able to find someone
smarter, younger, older, wiser, richer, more clever, better looking, or working harder or more effectively than you are.

When you make comparisons in which you place yourself beneath others, you're in for a discouragement that will keep you procrastinating, and perhaps even from seriously pursuing your goals. You can also find others who don't measure up to what you have become or are aspiring to be. Avoid the tendency to compare yourself with them as well. You will lower your goals and settle for average when you could have excellence. You may come to think that you deserve more success than others or that success lies ahead for you no matter what you do. Both are false assumptions. Success isn't a pie with a limited number of pieces. The success of others has very little bearing on your own success. You and everyone you know can become successful without anyone suffering setbacks, harm or downturns.

Neither is your success measured by what others say or accomplish. Only you can truly define your success, and only you can measure it.

Long Drive After A Long Time

Hi All,,

It was a long time going a far distance in my bike, and that is why i am here to write about it... It was only during my days working at EFL driving from T Nagar to Neelangarai, from Neelangarai to Sholinganallur, from Sholinganallur to Velacherry and back to T Nagar, it comes more than 75 Kms from that office... I was not quite happy with my job there, but some how established my ability and skills in improving the projects... I could still feel proud that companies like TCS, CTS, POLARIS, ICICI, MIDAS COMMUNICATION, VERIZON, and HCL use the application what i have developed for their Access Control Systems and CCTVs. All these stories happened during the year 2005-06. My last project in EFL was, i was deputed in Olympia Tech Park as Design Engineer for ACS in the year 2006. It was a year of laurels and happiness for me. But, due to unforseen circumstances i had to quit and i quitted. Hmmm,,,, No more flashback,,,, because that is not the topic.

Yesterday, that is on 24th July 2009, i went to Tambaram in my bike almost 30 Kms. I caught the road from Villivakkam, padi, Annanagar, thirumangalam, CMBT, vadapalani, Ashok Pillar, Kasi Theater, Jaya TV, Ekkatuthaangal flyover, Meenambakkam, Trisulam, Pallavaram, Chromepet, and Tambaram. Actually, why i am quoting these places because, all these places had some kind of relation with me while i was working in EFL. My project is been used in the companies that is situated in these areas. We always worked 24/7 hrs for these companies because at times our database requires some kind of treatment to store the data when it is full, almost a lakh and a half thousands of records get stored in their ACS,,, and doors even dont open when such things happens, so we will be always available there to cater the need of the hour. I and my team never mind about how many hours we work, because it was our project and we did it without managements help to prove a point.

Some of the companies were my project is still working are,

Barry Wehimiller International Resources
Airport Authority of India
Kasi Theater
BSNL Exchange near to Kasi Theater
HP at Olympia Tech Park
Verizon at Olympia Tech Park
HP at Lords Building
Virtusa At Lords Building
Jaya TV administrative office
Vijay TV administrative office
Sun TV administrative office at anna arivalayam (earlier)

The list does not stop with this, the length of its goes on and on and on,,,,

Hmmm... Now coming to the topic, it was in the evening around 7 o clock, i happened to travel to tambaram to my aunts place by my bike. My bike was fully filled with the fuel and my mobile was also fuelled with all those two year old songs and i happened to listen to it while driving. The climate was good and the route which i caught was as stated above. It was great to see the companies and still you can envisage the past.. I felt like history was being written once again. The volume of music in my mobile showed its peak and each and every song that i heard correlated and envoyed the story behind the each project. Let me tell one thing for you people, others may say that histories are always an history that is not going to happen once again, but when you realise wat you have done at past, that too, your achievements it gives you an ecstasy and will always relish becoming a catalyst to succeed in future endeavours.

But relying only on past and doing nothing at present is not going to yield you anything in future. So always work hard to succeed in life and have something to cheer with new achievment made at past....

"Always have the new Past to cheer for your future success with present hardwork"

Best Time Spent Before The Idiot Box

Hi All,

Its been a long time scribbling in my blog, and now i have got some reasons to spare some time in writing this post. Actually, the thing is after a hectic weekend i happened to sit before the idiot box which did not contain any kind of interesting stuffs. But, when thought about the movies i saw in the past, i could only realise there were only few movies that had very good story line that actually came along.

One of such good movies i saw was "The Pursuit Of Happiness" starring Will Smith, Steve Tisch which is directed by Gabriele Muccino. The film was actually based on true story of an ordinary salesman named Christopher Gardener in East England.

The story goes like this, Gardner has invested heavily in a device known as a "Bone Density scanner". He feels like he has made these devices. However, they do not sell as they are marginally better than the current technology at a much higher price. On top of that, one of these does not work. As Gardner tries to figure out on how to fix the faulty one and sell the others, his wife leaves him, he loses his house, his bank account, and credit cards. Forced to live out in the streets with his son, Gardner is now desperate to find a steady job; he takes on a job as a stockbroker, but before he can receive pay, he needs to go through 6 months of training, and to sell his devices.

There are three points that has to be followed that can make your life look healthy and grow healthy. I can still remember the expression and words of Will Smith talking to his son when he is almost lost every thing in his life except his confidence to succeed and his son. I can reveal out some of those for you as follows,

1. Do not let any one to tell you can't do things.
2. Do not loose your heart when everything goes wrong.
3. Do think through all the possibilities of success.
4. Do think you are always there to make thing go right even if it goes down beneath the break even point.

There are so many things in this film to make you realise that you are not in this world to attain failures, and you are here to succeed with the failure. I can even tell you the dialogue of will smith telling this in this film,,,, it goes like this "We hold these truths to be self-Evident, that all men are created Equal, that they are Endowed By their Creator with Certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happyness."

Absolute Definition of success lies in yourself and you need not read from any books. It all depends on how you perceive things in your life and perception of your life. Always hope that you can do everything wat you need in your life and you will succeed. Always strive for victory. Always do think positive in every aspect of life to head it towards success.

Thanking you,

Bye untill next interesting blog.

ONE DAY I DECIDED TO QUIT

I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality. .. I wanted to quit my life.
I went to the woods to have one last talk with God.
"God", I said. "Can you give me one good reason not to quit?"
His answer surprised me...
"Look around", He said. "Do you see the fern and the bamboo?"
"Yes", I replied.
When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them.
I gave them light. I gave them water.
The fern quickly grew from the earth.
Its brilliant green covered the floor.
Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed.
But I did not quit on the bamboo.
In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful.
And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed.
But I did not quit on the bamboo. He said.
"In the third year, there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit. In the fourth year, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. "I would not quit." He said. "Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth.

Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant. .. But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall.

It had spent the five years growing roots.

Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive. I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle."

He said to me. "Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots."

"I would not quit on the bamboo. I will never quit on you. " Don't compare yourself to others .." He said. "The bamboo had a different purpose than the fern ... Yet, they both make the forest beautiful."

Your time will come, "God said to me." You will rise high! "How high should I rise?" I asked.

How high will the bamboo rise?" He asked in return. "As high as it can? I questioned.

"Yes." He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as you can.

I left the forest and bring back this story.

I hope these words can help you see that God will never give up on you.
He will never give up on you. Never regret a day in your life.
Good days give you happiness..Bad days give you experiences; ..Both are essential to life.
A happy and meaningful life requires our continuous input and creativity. It does not happen by chance. It happens because of our choices and actions. And each day we are given new opportunities to choose and act and, in doing so, we create our own unique journey." Keep going...
Bye and see you untill my next post

Making Most Of The Opportunities!!!

Well, as the topic reads making most of the opportunities, i take this opportunity to let me feel rejuvenated. There is a saying that " A pen is mightier than sword " and so as my laptop. I always had a dream and ambition of writing the history of the future, but the truth is future can never be an history of today. We have to discover it.
While thinking of the opportunities i got to win my problems, i missed them by thinking of the problems by not solving it. Problems can never be solved only by thinking, it should be attended by diagnosing. When you intend to solve the problems very often, a divine energy will flow in you to take challenge in your life. When thought of challenges i took in my life, is only when i loved the activity and sure about to win the battle. When thought of the battle i fought, in the arena of my life is against the one who have already exhausted fighting against the odds in their life.
The truth is, i was starving for the opportunity in my life to win it, but when got it, i didn't knew how to recieve it. When the battle started, i did not know how to fight, when learnt to fight i had already lost the battle. But this was my second chance, an opportunity given by the Almighty to learn the life at my own risk, and so, i did it to the full. I have made most from the opprtunity i got in my failures to make most of it to succeed it.
Now, the opportunities have made most of opportunities from the opportunities to make my life look good and healthy to this world in true.
Guys, i am proud to tell you people that my name will be read by everyone from now on as T.SHANKAR BE,JAIIB,CAIIB,CTF,DBF,NCFM,AMF, MBA(bar).

Thanks for all the people who has supported me in my life in this regard, especially my mom. Thank you mom, thanks a lot.

bye untill next post.
